Southern Water can adopt existing sewers, Wastewater Pumping Station or Treatment Works under a Section 102 agreement (under the Water Industry Act 1991). It will be necessary for the applicant to provide the necessary details to prove that the sewers, Wastewater Pumping Station or Treatment Works have been designed and constructed to an adoptable standard.

For Southern Water to adopt existing sewers, wastewater pumping stations or Treatment works it will be necessary to complete S102 Adoption of existing sewers, wastewater pumping stations or Treatment works Application. We would recommend reference to  S102 Adoption of existing sewers, wastewater pumping stations or Treatment works Guidance Notes to assist in completing an application.
