Southern Water accepts commercial liquid waste in accordance with current waste management legislation. From the 30th October 2007 all liquid waste was banned from landfill – Southern Water provides an effective environmentally friendly alternative for disposal of non-hazardous waste, with extremely competitive treatment tariffs.

There is a dedicated team involved in managing the acceptance of Commercial Tankered Waste whilst maintaining effective compliance with the stringent environmental regulations that Southern Water is required to operate within.

Southern Water currently has 5 sites across Kent (Aylesford, Canterbury, Ham Hill, Sittingbourne and Tonbridge) and 1 in Hampshire (Budds Farm – Havant) with fixed environmental permits for accepting commercial waste. Customers can obtain environmental permits by contacting the relevant accounts manager.

Sale of Final Effluent / Activated Sludge / Digested Sludge
