We all know how important water is in our lives.
Climate change has resulted in unpredictable weather patterns in recent years, so it is ever more important that we encourage our customers of tomorrow to think about how we use water.
Our new Waterwise activity pack, aimed at group leaders who work with 7-11 year olds, helps teach youngsters about water in a fun and interesting way.
The pack contains 10 simple activities which are easy to run and ideal for use with Scouts, Guides, after-school clubs and holiday clubs, inside or out. It is free to leaders and teachers in the Southern Water region.
Activities include:
♦ Rainstorm in a jar - replicate how rain is made
♦ The World in a Bucket – show how little of the Earth’s water is available to drink
♦ Water Filter – see how different substances react in water
♦ In a Spin – looks at how we use water in the home
