3  There are about 200,000 sewer blockages throughout the UK every year of which up to 75 per cent are caused by fat, oil and grease.

4  About £15 million alone is spent every year on clearing fat, oil and grease blockages across the country.

5  As well as causing blockages leading to flooding, build-ups of fat, oil and grease can also put wastewater pumping stations out of action.
