Drought Plan 2008
We have published our Drought Plan, which details our proposals for safeguarding water supplies at times of drought.
This follows public consultation over our draft Drought Plan, which was produced in 2006.
We have now finalised our plans and have been given the go-ahead to publish them by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
The Drought Plan will help us to provide adequate supplies of water during a drought with as minimal impact as possible on the environment and our customers.
We are currently conducting a number of water resource and environmental investigations in the lead up to the publication of our next Drought Plan in 2012 and the draft Water Resource Management Plan in 2013.
