Your tap water is among the best in Europe and we continue to invest in the new plan, technology and pipework to ensure it stays that way.

Every year, we conduct more than 600,000 tests on tap water samples, from the beginning to the end of the supply system, to ensure it is of the highest quality.

The quest for better water quality means samples are now tested for more than 100 different substances.

Every time you turn on the tap, you can do so with confidence that the water is safe to drink.

The water we supply has to meet higher standards than those required for bottled water.

Top quality drinking water is a priority, so we have an extensive sampling and testing programme, which allows us to be confident about the high standard of supplies. In addition, the government's Drinking Water Inspectorate carries out a detailed examination of all our activities.

Our job is to provide safe drinking water 365 days of the year.

Every day, 468 million litres of water are supplied to customers from 99 water supply works. It flows along more than 13,600 kilometres of mains to one million properties and nearly 2.3 million people.
