Our relationship with the environment is a vital element of our business. Ensuring we act in a responsible, sustainable way is an essential part of how we work.
Caring for the environment means working to prevent pollution and continually improving our performance to meet the rising standards set by stringent environmental legislation.
It also means managing our operational sites properly to minimise our environmental impact and look for new ways to generate power sustainably.
We recycle by-products of the wastewater treatment process to the land to provide an economical, sustainable alternative to chemical fertilisers.
And we work hard to educate our customers about water efficiency and the consequences of putting fat and other materials down the drain.
We also actively seek to minimise our impact on wildlife and our natural surroundings when we plan and build our new developments.
