We continued our award-winning water efficiency programme, introducing a new character, Mr Save-It, to spearhead the campaign.
Mr Save-It, who looks like a water butt, made his first appearance at Worthing Ice Rink to entertain the crowd, giving advice on how to become more waterwise at home and in the garden. He also featured on thousands of leaflets and other promotional material and made a guest appearance at a water butt sale.
We also created a new waterwise plant guide on our website and gave away hundreds of free water butts.
Our award-winning children’s play Are You A Drip promoted water efficiency messages at 22 schools across the region, while a street-theatre version played at 10 roadshows. Staff also presented water efficiency talks to schools and community groups.
