Our people
Another year of improvement

We enjoyed another year of improving health and safety performance with the number of lost-time injuries falling 31 per cent from 29 to 20 and reportable incidents down 53 per cent from 19 to nine.

More than 5,000 hazard and near-miss reports (resulting in a £12,000 donation to the NSPCC) helped to achieve this, along with a number of initiatives, which included a series of safety conferences attended by 350 operations staff and suppliers.

Our health and safety performance was recognised with a Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents President’s Award. The award is presented only to companies that demonstrate outstanding performance in health and safety at work by receiving 10 consecutive Gold Awards in the organisation’s annual prize-giving.
