We launched a five-year programme to install half a million water meters for our customers in the South East.
The metering programme is part of our long-term plans to reduce demand to secure water resources for the future, alongside tackling leaks and developing new supplies.
We also invested more than £405 million in improving our services, including upgrading water and wastewater treatment works to meet new standards. We increased the amount of renewable energy we generate by 30 per cent.
Delivering for our customers remained a priority and we launched a Think Customer campaign across every part of our business to highlight the need to put them first.
