We invested more than £405 million in our services during the year, improving our water supply and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
The expenditure was in the second year of our 2010 to 2015 programme to invest £1.7 billion across Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Financial savings were made in a number of areas. For example, we continued to benefit from locking in to long-term energy prices to avoid increases in power costs and we carefully managed our operations to avoid peak power prices.
