We invested more than £400 million on improving our water and wastewater works, pumping stations, sewers and water mains during the year.

We re-laid 56km of water mains, 11.5km of sewers and finished creating a reservoir in West Sussex.

Work also progressed well on our new wastewater treatment works at Peacehaven to bring cleaner seas to Sussex.

In Hampshire, we brought a new £10 million pumping station into operation to help protect Portsmouth from flooding and we upgraded works in Kent and the Isle of Wight to meet strict new environmental standards.
