In a major new initiative, we invited all of our staff to a series of half-day presentations across the South East.
The roadshow, with the theme Think Customer, was led by the CEO and Executive Management Team who highlighted the way forward for the company and spoke about key issues.
Every employee was invited to the events, which took place in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire and were attended by more than 1,300 staff. The roadshow included the screening of short films about our work and our directors answered questions posed by staff.
Our CEO also initiated informal lunchtime discussions with groups of staff who could raise issues and make suggestions on ways to improve the company.
The 200th edition of our monthly staff newspaper, Southern Water News, was published and our internal communications team continued to keep employees informed through web-based announcements, text messages, films, posters and displays.
Sessions were also held in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire to promote the Southern Water Stakeholder Pension Scheme to staff.
