Based in the south of England and with more than 1,200km of coastline in our region, there's plenty to enjoy when you work with Southern Water.
We provide water supply and wastewater treatment services to around four million customers across Kent, East and West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Our headquarters are based in Worthing, West Sussex, with major offices in Brighton in East Sussex, Otterbourne, near Winchester in Hampshire and Chatham in Kent, as well as operational sites throughout the region.
Activities
The extensive coastline and high quality bathing waters off the south coast provide opportunities for many watersports, including windsurfing, kitesurfing and diving. Sailing is also very popular, with the Isle of Wight in particular, now established as an international centre of excellence.
Bewl Water, on the Kent/Sussex boundary, is the largest body of open water in the south east, and provides year-round activities, from watersports and fishing to walking, bird-watching and cycling.
Meanwhile, from the New Forest in the West to the rolling South Downs to the east, the countryside offers beautiful views, places to walk, ride and cycle, with idyllic villages and country pubs in which to relax at the end of the day.
Towns and cities
The towns and cities of the south provide a wide contrast between historic medieval market towns such as Winchester, Chichester and Canterbury and vibrant modern cities like Brighton and Southampton.
