We're investing in this area to reduce bursts and improve water supply. Recently the area was left without water following a burst main and we want to help prevent this in future.
To date, a total of 4.1 kilometres of new water main has been installed, and we've connected 90 per cent of homes impacted to the new main.
We've now progressed along the length of Ashey Road up to the junction with Swanmore Road.
We thank everyone for their ongoing support and patience while we carry out these essential improvements and apologise for any inconvenience caused by the work.
If you have any questions, please email the Capital PR team on firstname.lastname@example.org quoting PRN 629621.
We're continuing to improve the water supply in your area and will shortly be carrying out the following work:
Swanmore Road / Ratcliffe Avenue Junction - 17 - 28 September
We'll be working at this junction from Monday 17 to Friday 28 September. A short, 20m section of Ratcliffe Avenue will be closed to traffic between these dates with a short local diversion route in place. Three-way lights will be in place at this junction to control traffic along Swanmore Road, West Street and Osborne Road.
West Street - 8 - 19 October
West Street will be closed to through-traffic from the junction of Queen's Road to the junction of Argyll Street / Green Street, between Monday 8 October and Friday 19 October, to enable us to carry out the final connections to the new water main on this section. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses situated within this closed section, with local diversion routes in operation for through-traffic.
Bettesworth Road - 22 - 26 October
From Monday 22 October to Friday 26 October the junction of Bettesworth Road and Ashey Road will be closed to traffic. An official local diversion via Upton Road will be in place during this time.
