We're investing in this area to reduce bursts and improve water supply. Recently the area was left without water following a burst main and we want to help prevent this in future.
Update February 7, 2018
Southern Water is currently testing in Ryde, at West Street from the Queen's Road and Argyll Road junctions.
The closure of this section of road has been extended until 14 February, to allow for further testing. Due to the nature of these works, people may notice a reduction in on-site activity.
The road closure and traffic lights will remain in place so we can carry out the connections once the main has passed tests.
We recently started our drilling on the southern section of Ashey Road, the first 300 metres from the riding stables has been installed and is under test.
Customers will be warned before interruptions to supply for their service connections.
We've also liaised with Haylands Primary School about road access for parents, as a road closure at the junction by the school is now in place.
Can all road users please follow the road signage that will be in place during the work.
We apologise for any inconvenience this work may cause and thank everyone for their patience while we carry out this vital work.
