We are working to replace 3km of water mains in Awbridge to reduce the risk of bursts and ensure we can continue to provide a constant supply of high quality drinking water to our customers.
Update - March 2018
Our work at the junction of Old Salisbury Lane and Stanbridge Lane (near the railway bridge) has now been completed.
We will continue our work along Romsey Road, transferring services on to the new water main. This will carry on into next week, on the stretch from Hansards to Awbridge Village Hall.
We will be erecting two-way traffic lights to carry out some initial work on Awbridge Hill, near the junction of Cooks Lane, ahead of the road closure due to be in place from 12 March.
We'd like to ask drivers to take note of the advance notice and no-parking road signs that have been erected.
We are in contact with the nearby housing development. We'll be working with them during the works to maintain access for the site, and ensure the road is clear.
We apologise for any inconvenience our work may cause and we'd like to thank customers for their ongoing patience.
