To find out if the sewerage network has sufficient capacity to service a development, it will be necessary to complete a Capacity Check application form.
A recent review of Design Standards has been completed and adopted by Southern Water, for all future modelling works.
Modelling procedures have also been reviewed and updated and agreed changes will be used for all future modelling works.
Models continue to be updated and verified on a regular basis.
Southern Water now seeks to simplify its procedures, improve the transparency of such procedures and to make the service it offers to its Customers more in line with their expectations and needs.
This will require some time to implement and will require consultation and liaison with its Customer base.
Pending such review Southern Water is temporarily withdrawing the Level 2 Sewerage Capacity Check offering as from:
22nd August 2016
The capacity check can assist developers in understanding the potential costs and timescales involved in servicing a site prior to land acquisition or the submission of a planning application.
The results of the capacity checks are for information only and should not be regarded as an approval or rejection of your proposals.
