We’re laying a 440m-long water main in Coley Lane to help ensure a constant supply of high-quality drinking water to our customers.

Our construction partners MGJV are currently carrying out trial holes at the site. We’ll lay 400m of pipe up the concrete road to the nature reserve and then will continue across the nature reserve meadow to the existing water supply works’ access road and into the works.

We’re also building a new structure within the boundary of the current works. So the work can be carried out safely, Coley Lane will be closed sometime in July 2017. There may be also closures of the access roads and footpaths around the water supply works. We’ll send full details about these nearer the time.

The nature reserve will remain open to walkers at all times and our works will be securely guarded by 2m high fencing. We’ll plan deliveries and vehicle movements to site to avoid the village centre as much as possible. We’ll be using specialist “no dig” technology, where possible, to keep disruption to a minimum.

Updates will be available on our website, however, if you’d like to speak to someone, please call us on 0330 3030 368 quoting reference number PRN 561307.
