Community grants

Here at Southern Water we recognise that sometimes our activities can cause disruption to the communities we serve.

We may need to undertake some construction work at one of our sites, update our infrastructure e.g laying new water mains or sewage pipes or unfortunately there may have been an incident beyond our control e.g a burst water main.

We have designated a number of areas where we are looking to support the local communties who may have been affected by our activities.

If you run or are involved in a community group or initiative in one of these areas, you may be eligibe to apply for a Southern Water community grant.

Our Woolston Area Grant scheme is now open for applications.

Southern Water is working to improve and upgrade our existing wastewater treatment works.

We are keen to support projects which focus on:

  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Environment
  • Education and opportunties

Priority will be given to requests received from within the Woolston treatment works catchment area particularly:

  • Woolston
  • Merryoak
