Howletts Wildlife Park - The Aspinall Foundation

Howletts were our regional charity partners for Kent in 2016–17.

The team applied for a grant to refurbish their education centre and wildlife garden. Although still in use the facilities and displays needed updating.

Southern Water donated £10k and challenged the Howletts team to transform their centre with the help of Southern Water employees in just twelve months.

The partnership has been highly successful and resulted in a bright, modern education centre complete with contemporary displays and a cinema room to help promote the Foundation’s conservation messages and Southern Water’s water efficiency tips.

  • Exciting volunteering opportunities and team building for Southern Water employees
  • A Southern Water water efficiency audit and upgrades for the park
  • An opportunity to share advice on water issues including global and local scarcity
  • A legacy project which will promote the partnership into the future
  • A lasting relationship with Southern Water employees who want to continue to support Howletts through volunteering.

We’ve loved working with the Howletts team. Their enthusiasm and drive was infectious and resulted in dozens of our employees signing up to volunteer at the park and help progress the project
