Pupils are being encouraged to keep hydrated and healthy, thanks to Southern Water.
The company has provided water bottles for pupils at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA).
The academy, in Lewes Road, has water fountains spread around the site but its staff wanted water bottles to encourage the pupils to take water into lessons.
BACA applied for help from Southern Water’s Community Chest grants scheme which supports charities and good causes with donations towards projects.
Laura McLaughlin , Sports Manager at the academy, said: “It’s absolutely great that Southern Water is helping us get bottles for the pupils. We want to encourage them to be healthier and drink plenty of water and this is a great help.”
Kevin Buck, who co-ordinates Southern Water’s Community Chest programme, said: “Drinking plenty of water is an important part of a healthy lifestyle and we are pleased to be able to help the pupils of BACA to keep hydrated.”
