We're aware of concerns about the legitimacy of visits from water company employees in the Hythe Crescent area of #Seaford over the last few days.
These visits are not connected with Southern Water - but we've spoken to our colleagues at South East Water and they've confirmed the callers are genuine water samplers from their company.
Our customers safety is vitally important to us. All our employees and people calling on our behalf carry an identity card with their photograph and name on it. They must show you this. If they don't offer you an identity card, please ask to see one.
Everyone working for Southern Water is aware of this procedure and are happy to wait while customers check their identification.
