A West Sussex treatment works is now more environmentally friendly, thanks to a £1.3 million investment.
Southern Water has completed an upgrade of Dial Post Wastewater Treatment Works, near Horsham. This has enhanced the treatment process, ensuring the 400,000 litres of wastewater that can flow through the site each day is of the best ever quality.
The work will ensure the site continues to meet stringent Environment Agency standards.
Project Manager Jonathan Kenrick said: “The result of this investment will be a more efficient site and a cleaner environment for Dial Post.”
The project, carried out by contractor 4Delivery, was part of Southern Water’s £1.8 billion programme of work being carried out between 2010 and 2015 to improve and maintain its pipes, sewers, water supply works and treatment works.
