Thanet water supply update

We’re currently managing operational issues at two of our water supply works, at Selling and Eastling. This is affecting water levels across parts of Thanet. Customers are continuing to receive water but may experience low pressure because reservoir levels are lower than usual. We will provide regular updates here.

Taking precautionary measures

Sunday 24 May 2026

Update 8pm – Bottled water stations now open

Our team continues to manage operational issues at two of our water supply works in Selling and Eastling. As a result, some customers may be experiencing low water pressure or intermittent supply.

We understand how disruptive this is and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. Our teams are working as quickly as possible to restore normal service. This includes moving water around the network to keep supplies balanced and bringing in additional support such as tankers.

Bottled water stations now open
As a precaution, bottled water stations are now open at:

  • Tesco Superstore, Manston Road, Ramsgate, CT12 6NT
  • Manston airfield, Manston Road, CT12 5BL

These will remain open until 11pm tonight and will reopen tomorrow morning if needed.

Preparing support for customers
We are taking further precautionary steps to support customers if required. We continue to prioritise those on our Priority Services Register and are delivering bottled water directly where needed.

If you or someone you know may require extra support, please sign up online or call 0330 303 0368 so we can assist you quickly.

Please help by using water wisely
With high temperatures continuing, we’re asking everyone to use water carefully. Small actions can make a big difference:

  • Take shorter showers
  • Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth
  • Use a watering can instead of a hose

You can find more water-saving tips on our website.

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we work to resolve this issue.
