We’re upgrading water mains in Ore to reduce the risk of burst pipes and ensure we can deliver a constant supply of high quality drinking water to customers.
Our contractors Clancy Docwra started work in February 2018 to replace 1,000m of existing pipework which is coming to the end of its operational life.
In order to install the new mains, we’ll need to carry out work in and around Oakfield Road, Sandown Road, Old London Road and School Road.
We’ll be working hard to maintain vehicle access for residents as we progress with the work. At times temporary loss of on-street parking may be necessary on short sections while we lay the new pipes and connect properties onto the new main, but we’ll be doing our best to minimise this disruption where we can.
Work is expected to be completed by September 2018.
