Our Sporting Chance programme is a fun way for children to be active while learning about the importance of drinking water, saving water and keeping our drains clear.
Community coaches from some of the region’s top sports clubs work with children to help get our messages across to some of the region's youngest customers.
With a little help from the club mascots, Sporting Chance promotes a healthy lifestyle and a unique way to engage sports fans of the future.
Thanks to Gully from Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Victa from Kent CCC, Nelson from Portsmouth FC, Sid from Sussex CCC and Roary from Hampshire – we’re inspiring water savvy kids in the classroom and the playground.
Since the programme began we have involved more than 60,000 children in hundreds of schools in lively and entertaining Sporting Chance events.
Using a fun combination of games and sports skills our partner coaches work with pupils to deliver information about water efficiency, healthy hydration and keeping sewers clear by only flushing the Three P’s! (That’s pee, poo and paper!)
The session appealed to some of my harder to reach children who had an interest in science. It has been a huge help in that sense.Teacher - Medina Primary School, Cosham
