We’re really sorry again for the disruption caused by our emergency works to a burst water main in the Hastings area. Most of our affected customers should have their supply back.
It was a complex burst and a very large pipe, so you may still notice the following today as supplies return…
• Discolouration. To clear this and use water as normal, run taps for a few minutes.
• Low pressure. This should return during the day. You may find pressure differs from tap to tap, but it is fine to use water as normal.
• A very small number of homes still have no water, which could be down to an airlock either in our system or in the home.
