We’ve published a water resources plan to show how we’ll keep your taps flowing for the next 50 years.
We need to make big changes to the way we supply water, so we can leave more water in the environment and get ready for climate change and growth.
This includes investing in recycling your wastewater and desalination (cleaning seawater for drinking water).
We’re also part of a solution for the South East which could see a new reservoir built in Havant – providing more water, community facilities and wildlife habitats.
And we’re focusing on helping people reduce what they use and reducing leaks.
This is a draft plan so it’s your chance to have your say.
We’re running a consultation on this plan from 5 March to 28 May, 2018, and we’d like to hear your views.
You can download a summary, or find out more on these web pages, and fill in our questionnaire.
Or, you can email Defra at firstname.lastname@example.org, and copy to WRMP@southernwater.co.uk, email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. Emails should be titled Southern Water Draft Water Resources Management Plan.
