Southern Water thrives on the passion and hard work of more than 2,000 employees.

Together we serve 4.6 million customers across Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

All of us rely on water for everything – from what we eat and drink, to the rivers, fields, forests and beaches that we love. Our population is growing fast, and climate change is bringing greater risk of drought and flooding.

Our locations

Our headquarters are based in Worthing, West Sussex and we have offices in:

  • Brighton, East Sussex
  • Otterbourne, Hampshire
  • Chatham, Kent

We also operate hundreds of sites across our region, which include:

  • 89 water treatment works
  • 365 wastewater treatment works
  • 2,375 pumping stations
  • Reservoirs at Bewl, Darwell, Weir Wood and Powdermill

Our roles

We offer hundreds of different types of role, so if you’re up for a challenging, rewarding career then this is the place to be. Our people range from project managers, customer service executives and scientists, to accountants, analysts, IT specialists and sewerage operatives.

Our business is divided across our key teams and departments which include Customer Services, Water and Wastewater Operations, Engineering and Construction, Health and Safety, and corporate support teams including IT, HR and Finance.
