We are working to replace 1km of water main that serves Worthing Crematorium in West Sussex to reduce the risk of bursts and ensure we can continue to provide a constant supply of high quality drinking water.
Work started on 25 February 2017 and the entrance road reduced to one car width.
Update June 15, 2017
We’re returning on the weekend of June 24/25 to replace the final section of water main located at the entrance road and A24 inner lane (northbound).
This final piece of work is due to complete on July 23.
Within these dates, work on the A24 submitted as part of the Highways notice is currently planned for the weekends of: July 8/9, 15/16 & 22/23.
On these dates, a stop / go board will be in use at the entrance road to ensure traffic moves freely.
Please note, we’ll be shutting off water supply to the crematorium and nearby properties for no more than three hours on Sunday July 16 at 8am. We’ll be notifying everyone who’ll be affected.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience.
