We are working to replace 1km of water main that serves Worthing Crematorium in West Sussex to reduce the risk of bursts and ensure we can continue to provide a constant supply of high quality drinking water.
Work will start on 25 February 2017 and will take approximately six weeks. The entrance road will be reduced to one car width in the section where we are working.
To prevent any disruption to services, we will only be working near the crematorium building on the weekends of 25-26 February and 18-19 March. Any additional days near the building will be by agreement with the crematorium.
Our construction partner MGJV – a joint venture between Morrison Utility Services and Galliford Try - will be completing the work on our behalf. Working hours will be between 8am and 6pm but the contractor may not always be visible on site.
If your property is to be connected to the new pipe, we will need to disconnect your water supply for a short time. We will give you at least 48 hours notice before we do this.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank you in advance for your co-operation and patience.
