Stormy Weather Brings Burst Pipes for Southern Water - and its Customers
There's a plague of bursts across the region in the wake of Storm Isha - we're working tirelessly to fix our network - but customers are warned they may have burst pipes and need to check.
Stephanie Davidovitz, head of water networks and customer at Southern Water, said:
“We’ve seen a surge in demand for water across the region – and it looks like the recent changes in weather have caused network issues resulting in a large number of bursts reported.
Normally we get 20 leak reports a day from customers and over the weekend this rose to more than 300.
There are likely to be many leaks on customer pipework so it is important that you are vigilant. You can find out how to check and what to do here.
