We’re keen to tell you all about water and what we do to supply clean water and treat wastewater.

What the talks cover

The tailored talks offer a deep dive into what it takes to supply fresh, clean water to your taps, and how wastewater is treated before being safely returned to the environment. To book a free talk at your school or community group, please fill out this application form. As all our speakers are Community Ambassadors, please give six weeks' notice when requesting a talk.

Our Waterwise Talks

Our Waterwise talks cover topics about your clean water supply and why it's important to save water. They'll include discussions on:

  • How much water is used in the home
  • How water is made safe to drink before reaching your tap
  • The water cycle
  • Climate change
  • Simple ways to save water, energy and money.

Our Sewerwise talks

Our Sewerwise talks tell you all about what happens to your wastewater and what we can all do to prevent flooding and pollution in our communities. These talks will include discussions on:

  • Where does wastewater go?
  • Non-flushable items
  • How the Victorians built the sewerage system
  • Imagine life without access to fresh water or sanitation
  • Beauty of the Beach.
