Discolouration of water supply

Kent Fire and Rescue are currently drawing water from a fire hydrant in the area, which is causing a disturbance in the usual flow rate within the water mains.

This discolouration is due to harmless iron oxide deposits which collect on the inside of water mains and have been stirred up during a disruption.

Our engineers are currently working in the area to resolve the problem as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Find out more about discolouration here.
