Update - Wednesday 18 October 17:00
Our expert teams are continuing to tackle a burst sewer in Bulverhythe and minimise the impact to the surrounding area. We are also supporting customers whose properties have been directly affected.
In order to fix the sewer, we need to remove water from the field so we can excavate and repair the burst. To do this a fleet of tankers are needed to remove the water and provide storage. Some of these tankers are already on site but more will arrive during the evening. Temporary traffic management has been setup at the junction the A259 Bexhill Road and Cinque Ports Way to allow the tankers to enter and exit the area safely. Our teams will try and complete this work as quickly as possible.
We are sorry for the disruption and impact this is having; our teams will work round the clock to get it fixed.
