Hampshire customers invited to ‘Your Water Matters’ event

Teams from across our business will be on hand to speak with customers when the next ‘Your Water Matters’ community engagement event comes to Eastleigh later this month.

On Thursday 25 September, The Point venue in Leigh Road will host the drop-in from 2pm to 6.30pm - giving members of the public a chance to quiz us on future plans and raise any concerns they may have.

Experts available on the day will range from members of our Clean Rivers and Seas Task Force, who are working to cut storm overflows, to our customer teams who will be able to discuss bills and financial support on offer to those who may need a little help to pay.

The event comes as we’re investing £858m in Hampshire over the next five years to improve our performance, for the benefit of our environment and communities.

Work will help to protect the River Test and Itchen, provide a sustainable and resilient water supply, and drive forward major infrastructure projects like Havant Thicket Reservoir and a new 17km water pipeline between Otterbourne and Southampton.

Southern Water’s Chief Customer Officer Antonia Barton said:

“We know our customers want answers — and action. This event is about listening, being transparent, and showing how we’re investing to make things better. Whether it’s tackling storm overflows, protecting the precious chalk streams in this area, improving water resilience, or supporting households through the cost-of-living crisis, we’re here to talk, listen and help.”
