What are we doing?

We’re upgrading Motney Hill Wastewater Treatment Works to increase the amount of water it can store at any one time. The site will benefit from a new storage tank to hold excess water during periods of heavy rain before it enters our treatment works. 

When there's too much water — from rain or wastewater — entering our network, it can overwhelm the system. To help protect homes and businesses from flooding, we sometimes need to release this excess water through storm overflows. 

Useful information for residents and visitors

During the construction work, you may see an increase in traffic movements in the area. 

Our working hours till be 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.
