Our performance

We want you to be confident that we’re operating in your interests. That’s why we publish a summary of our financial and non-financial performance every six months, alongside regular updates on the priority projects you helped us identify in our Business Plan 2025–30.

background

Between now and 2030 you’ll see some big changes

Our current business plan represents our largest ever investment in your water and wastewater services. To develop our most ambitious plan to date, we listened and gathered feedback from over 25,000 customers, who spent over 8,000 hours helping us shape what we’ll deliver.

We’re fundamentally changing the way we source, store, treat, and supply your water. Here we’ll explain how we’re working differently, delivering a host of innovative and nature-based projects to go further, creating a step change in services and performance for the benefit of our customers and the environment.

We’re not starting from scratch

We continue to receive support from our shareholders who will have injected £2.3 billion into the group since September 2021, including their commitment in July 2025 to invest £655 million of additional equity, £505 million of which was received in November and £150 million which will be paid by March 2026.

This equity, along with additional debt financing of over £1.5 billion raised since March 2025, has improved our financial resilience and resulted in S&P removing its CreditWatch from our credit rating. It has also allowed us to improve our performance in critical areas of concern — reducing pollutions, leakage and flooding, and improving water quality.
