Covers period 1 April 2019 – 31 March 2020
For discharges received when the solid meter (measuring the strength of the waste) is indicating a fault, the weak tariff will be applied.
For all other discharges made where the strength of the imports cannot be measured due to its nature, the indeterminate tariff will apply.
Charges depend upon the chemical composition of the waste stream and are calculated using the Mogden formula.
Due to the greater level of management these waste streams require, there are also administration costs incorporated in the charges. Prices start at around £2.00/m3.
Charges for commercial waste are calculated for each individual enquiry from the pre-acceptance analysis results. Please contact the Commercial Waste Team for more information.
Activated sludge, digester sludge and final effluent sales
Activated sludge, digester sludge and final effluent can be purchased from us. Collections must be arranged through the Commercial Waste Team.
Due to the large levels of paperwork (health and safety, haulage, site process status, receiving site registration, type of receiving works and coordination of collections) there are administration charges associated with the purchase of these wastes.
Activated & digester sludge
- £35.00 when given four working days warning prior to collection date
- £70.00 when given two days warning prior to collection date
- £23.75 when given four working days warning prior to collection date
- £47.50 when given two days warning prior to collection date
Final effluent is then charged at £1.50/m3. Activated and digester sludge is then charged at £8.00/m3.
