If you have no running water, it’s usually down to a pipe leak or burst water main rather than scheduled work we’re carrying out. If you do find you have no water in your home, we’ll work hard to fix the problem as fast as we can.

If you suddenly find your water has stopped working, try running through this checklist first:
To do this, try all taps and flush the loos in your home.
Your stop taps control the amount of water that enters your property. You'll want to make sure that they're fully open.

If possible, check with a neighbour to see if they’re having the same problem of water not working in their house too.

When your water comes back on, it may look, taste, or smell a little unusual at first. Running your tap for a few minutes should clear it. Try collecting the water in your washing-up bowl or watering can so you can keep it to use around your garden.
Unfortunately, there isn't a sure way of saying how long it will be before your water returns after it has stopped. This can depend on the complexity of the problem and how long it takes us to fix it.
