How we calculate your bill

Here you'll find information about our charges for the year 2025-26 (1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026) and 2026-27 (1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027).

background

Our household customers’ bills have changed for the financial year running from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.

Your own bill will vary based on if you have a meter, your water use and if you receive any financial support from us. This means what you pay could be more or less expensive than the averages below.

From April 2026, the average household bill for combined water and wastewater will rise by 8%, equal to around £4.67 more each month, depending on your water use.

If you get wastewater-only service from us, charges will fall by an average of 4%, saving £1.39 per month on average, depending on your water use.

Meanwhile, water supply only bills from us will go up by 25.8%, equal to around £6.06 more each month, depending on your water use.

Inflation and investment in our services are the two causes of changes to water charges. We understand changes to your bill can be challenging, so we offer a wider range of support for customers. This includes discounts of at least 45%, debt support, and access to a Hardship Fund, which includes debt write off, home grants and a one-off bill reduction.
