Programme – Test and Itchen

The initial round of the DWMPs is being delivered to a timetable set for all water companies by Ofwat, with a requirement for all water companies to have their draft plans ready for a public consultation by 30 June 2022.

To meet this timetable we have a period between July and December 2021 for the Options Development and Appraisal stage for each wastewater system. We have selected several wastewater systems to progress through the Options Development and Appraisal stage in this first round of the DWMP. Our technical document provides information on how we have selected the systems to include in the first round of DWMPs.  Our selection is based on:

  1. The number of risks in the catchment
  2. The level of concern (output from the problem characterisation matrix), and
  3. Feedback from expert colleagues and partner organisations.

The wastewater systems being taken forward through the Options Development and Appraisal for the Test and Itchen catchment (and other river basins in Hampshire), and our indicative programme is set out in the table below.
